For SLMCCM students: register now – virtual international course on planetary health

| August 9, 2023

The Planetary and Global Health Program of the St. Luke’s Medical Center College of Medicine-William H. Quasha Memorial is once again collaborating with UMC Utrecht in the Netherlands in jointly offering a virtual international course on planetary health.

This new course builds on the pilot course offered in the early part of 2023, which brought together Filipino and Dutch students from SLMCCM and UMC Utrecht. This time, the online course has been expanded to also include students from Anton de Kom Universiteit van Suriname (Paramaribo, Suriname), Asian University for Women (Dhaka, Bangladesh), University of Curaçao Dr. Moises da Costa Gomez (UoC) and Instituto pa Formashon den Enfermeria  (Willemstad, Curaçao), University of Ghana (Accra, Ghana) and University of Sydney (Sydney, Australia).

The course runs from September 2023 through November 2023. During the course, students are introduced to the key principles of planetary health and learn ways to share planetary health messages through creative channels and learn to work in interdisciplinary and international settings. The course is comprised of interactive online seminars, online modules (self-paced) and with a strong focus on interdisciplinary and international group work.

To register for the online planetary course, please fill out this form. There are limited spots available (first come, first serve), so register now! Documentaries that will be made by student groups will be shared at the 13th European Congress on Global Health (https://www.ectmih2023.nl/).
