ADVISORY RE NATIONAWIDE TRANSPORT STRIKE ON SEPTEMBER 23 TO 24, 2024

In the light of the Nationwide Transport Strike announced by Manibela scheduled for September 23, 2024 and September 24, 2024 the following contingency plans will be implemented:

YL 1 Lectures in Anatomy scheduled for September 23, 2024 and Lectures in Physiology scheduled for September 24, 2024 will be prepared for online delivery.

YL 2 Laboratory work in General Pathology on September 23, 2024 will be converted for asynchronous online delivery. Details will be given by the Department.

Lectures in Medical Ethics scheduled for September 23, 2024 will be delivered asynchronously online.

Clinical Evaluation Lectures scheduled for September 24, 2024 will be converted for online synchronous delivery from 1-4pm.

Lecture on the Basic Eye Exam will be rescheduled and delivered face to face at a later date.

YL3 Lectures in Obstetrics scheduled for September 23, 2024 will be converted for online delivery.

Medical Jurisprudence Examination scheduled for September 24, 2024 11am-1pm and Radiology Examination scheduled for September 24, 2024 from 2-4pm will push through ONSITE.

Feedback for Neurology and Clinical Research Examinations will be done online. Schedule to be announced later.

For lectures that are to be converted to online delivery, the faculty may choose to upload a powerpoint with voice over or give a synchronous online lecture by zoom which will be recorded and uploaded in the LMS. Department will inform the students if online activity will be synchronous or asynchronous.
A post test will be made available in the LMS for 1 week. A grade of at least 75% correct answers will validate student’s attendance. If this is not achieved, the student is marked absent for this learning session.

YL4 and YL5 students will follow the schedules of the departments where they are rotating.

College Offices will remain open.
