Lukans win 2nd Runner-up in the 1st AMSA Internal Summit Scientific Paper Category

Congratulations to Joshua Joel F. Cahatol, Denisse Lorraine C. Bayalan, Patricia Felise N. Perez, and their adviser Dr. Renzo Guinto for winning 2nd Runner-up in the 1st AMSA International Summit Scientific Paper Category. Their paper is entitled “MENTAL HEALTH SYSTEMS IN TRANSITION: A COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS OF INDONESIA, MALAYSIA, PHILIPPINES, AND THAILAND DURING THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC”. The study aimed to examine the evolving mental health system in the four ASEAN countries during the pandemic and their responses to emerging mental issues.

Joshua Joel F. Cahatol, Denisse Lorraine C. Bayalan, and Patricia Felise N. Perez are currently Year Level 2 medical students and are all Entrance Scholars of St. Luke’s Medical Center College of Medicine – WHQM.

Dr. Renzo Guinto, MD DrPH is an Associate Professor of the Practice of Global Public Health and the Inaugural Director of the Planetary and Global Health Program of the St. Luke’s Medical Center College of Medicine – WHQM.
