“The St. Luke’s College of Medicine Chorale is the official vocal ensemble of the St. Luke’s College of Medicine-William H. Quasha Memorial (SLMCCM-WHQM). The organization is a community of singers and musicians dedicated to the art of choral music—pursuing their passion and encouraging the holistic development of aspiring doctors beyond their academic studies and clinical duties. The SLCM Chorale’s repertoire includes songs that are tied to the Lukan identity as well as other musical pieces that reflect the beauty and richness of music. The organization welcomes both seasoned vocalists and those who wish to learn how to sing, inviting them to let their voices bloom and join in on the harmony with Lukan courage and pride.”
The SLMCCM Chorale is the official choir of the St. Luke’s Medical Center College of Medicine – William H. Quasha Memorial and the St. Luke’s Medical Center. It aims not only to provide an opportunity for medical students to share their passion for music, coming together, singing, and honing their vocal talents, but also to foster a holistic environment for its members to develop qualities and skills essential within the medical field such as teamwork and time management. It envisions itself to be recognized as an exceptional ensemble of voices in the medical field, with solidarity and camaraderie among members spanning different generations.
